Where? In your car, in your room, in your shower… wherever you like to listen to the our beautiful radio voices.
What? Well, we like to cover a different country each week. For the most part, travel. It’s that thing we all wish we could do, but we’re way too broke to do it. #CollegeProbs…Until we can afford to travel the world, we Aggies can dream about the glorious day when we aren’t so dirt poor!
Last week, our topic was….
*drum roll*
MEXICO!
We learned all kinds of odd facts about Mexico. For example, did you know that you could buy colorful baby chicks? They dye baby chicks different colors and sell them!
One thing to keep in mind is that if you do ever visit Mexico and are sitting on the ground of the White Horse Airport, DO NOT play cards with a woman, Indian, or child. The po-po will pick you up real fast. And if you play cards with a young Native American girl, you will be in REAL trouble.
AGGventure listeners got the inside scoop from fellow Aggie Taylor Cardon, who spent a “two year leave-of-absence” in Mexico. Cardon taught us a lot about the culture shock of going to Mexico, especially with it being his first time out of the U.S.
There are many adventures waiting in Mexico: zip-lines, underwater museums, cliffs and waterfalls, and many other destinations all around Mexico!
We know what you’re thinking. A travel show for a college radio station? I couldn’t even afford milk for my cereal this week.
The point of AGGventure is to help us all get excited about travel. We hope our listeners can learn about places around the world and be able to pick out places they want to visit based on the information we give them. We also want to lessen the pain each college student feels when they think about the fact that a trip to Salt Lake City is all they can afford. And even that might be a stretch.
Each Friday morning, AGGventure’s hosts want to take you on a trip. Vagabond John and Someday Sadie are inviting you to go on a mini vacation with them! Each week, they will take you somewhere new. It may not be a real trip, but it’ll be a real fun way to start your morning!
