Hooked on a feeling? I know I am. I have a feeling that an amazing DVD is coming out on Dec 9. What is this amazing DVD? A little film called Guardians of the Galaxy. If you are a fan of Marvel movies such as Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, etc., you will truly enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy.

While a superhero movie, the film does stay on the funnier side. All of the big time actors in this movie work wonderfully together. Chris Pratt (Parks and Rec, Lego Movie) played the lovable rebel ravager Peter Quill, aka Star Lord.

Even though he only had one line throughout the entire movie, I loved Vin Diesel’s interpretation of Groot, the tall and kindhearted tree. Not normally known for his soft side, Diesel definitely showed more dimension with this character. His one line touches the heart of the audience, and even causes laughter in some scenes.

Gamora (Zoe Saldana) is the vicious assassin. Originally tagging along with this band of misfits, she eventually develops a deep connection with the group. Saldana also had a pretty big role in the newer Star Trek movies, where she played the love interest of Spock. Bringing something new to the table as a ruthless killer and master assassin, she is a force to be reckoned with.

Rocket (Bradley Cooper) is a mutated raccoon, but he is not to be taken lightly. He knows his way around weaponry and has escaped countless prisons with Groot by his side. Even though he is a voiced character, his part is important to the crew. With nothing in mind but turning Quill in for the reward money, he didn’t expect to be working along side him to save the galaxy.

Finally, Drax (Dave Bautista). With a vendetta against the main villain in this film, he will do anything to get his hands around him and “cut his head off.” Teaming up with murderers, rodents, a dumb tree and an imbecile, you will probably hate him for the majority of the film. Or he might surprise you.

If you haven’t seen it yet, I would highly recommend doing so. It is great for people of all ages, and will keep you laughing… And possibly singing along with the fantastic soundtrack. Once you watch the movie, consider getting the soundtrack. Guardians of the Galaxy comes to DVD Dec 8. Get it in time for Christmas for yourself, or someone else.
