Do you ever wonder what character is best? Who is the strongest, most powerful, deadliest? For this article, and more to come, it’s going to be movie characters that we all know and love squaring off to see who is the best. This week’s contestants: Hawkeye from the movie The Avengers and Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games.
Let’s start with Katniss Everdeen and her strengths shall we?
Katniss Everdeen the girl on fire. Well, obviously she has no control of fire, but she can handle a bow. With nearly perfect accuracy, she can hit a squirrel square in the eye. Not only can Miss Everdeen shoot, she is also a wicked good climber. Climbing trees quickly and higher than most people could, she can provide an aerial attack with ease. Knowing how to be hungry is also handy when in an area when food is sparse. Tracking and hunting are skilled ways to get food when available. The woods being her element. Miss Everdeen should not be undermined in any way. She is full of surprises, just ask the other participants of the Hunger Games….oh wait.
Now that we’ve discussed Miss Everdeens strengths it is now time for her weaknesses. We all know how it is possible for Miss Everdeen to become attached to others, and when those she loves are in danger she is willing to do anything to keep them safe. Other than a bow and arrow, Miss Everdeen would be out of her element. Swords, cleaver, gun even would be out of her comfort zone as well.
Now that we have finished with Katniss Everdeen, it is time to move on to Hawkeye.
Hawkeye, much like Miss Everdeen, prefers the bow and arrow. Having multiple choices of arrows such as: explosive, grappling hook, taser and many others, his artillery is much more advanced. Having a keen sense of accuracy, Hawkeye can even make a killer shot without even looking (hopefully we all remember that amazing shot towards the end of Avengers). Also the ability to blend into the shadows and constantly observant is a great skill for a warrior to have.
One large weakness is that he is easily susceptible to mind control. Also like Miss Everdeen, he does seem limited to one true weapon of choice. I’m unsure as to possible skills with other weapons, but there seems to be none.
