Albums:

Future HeartsAll Time Low (For Fans of: Blink-182, Green Day, & Mayday Parade)All_Time_Low,_Future_Hearts_album_cover,_2015

All Time Low’s fifth release, Future Hearts, shows a good balance between good old-fashioned Punk (“Kicking & Screaming”) and pop-rock (“Something’s Gotta Give”). The album retains a lot of the crude “brattiness” that All Time Low has been known for from albums like Nothing Personal and So Wrong, It’s Right, but they explore more mature lyrical content in ballads like “Tidal Waves” which features Mark Hoppus of Blink-182. This record may be one of the most dynamic and polarizing releases in All Time Low’s catalog. (Via Hopeless Records)

American CandyThe Maine (For Fans of: Third Eye Blind, Matchbox Twenty, & We Are The In Crowd)American Candy

The Maine brightens the mood with the upbeat, 90s rock-esque tunes of American Candy. A very welcomed change from the moody brooding tones of Forever Halloween and their recent EP Imaginery Numbers. This bands has definitely stepped up their game with stronger songwriting and even catchier hooks (for example, check out “English Girls”). It may seem like The Maine is trying to do their best Third Eye Blind impression on this album and that is okay with me. (Via Big Picnic Records)

KintsugiDeath Cab For Cutie (For Fans of: The Cure, Jimmy Eat World, & Band of Horses)Kintsugi

One of Death Cab’s strongest releases in their arsenal. They infuse a lot of the atmosphere that was missing from their last album Codes & Keys. This album is something that Robert Smith of The Cure would write, or wish he wrote. If you like Death Cab For Cutie at all, you will love this album. (Via Atlantic Records)

Singles:

“Until We Can’t (Let’s Go)” – Passion Pit

Third single release from Passion Pit’s upcoming album Kindred. Just as catchy and explosive as the other two singles. Track includes a soaring chorus and bright synths along with other electronics. This is shaping up to be one of the most energetic releases from Passion Pit.

“Tear In My Heart” – Twenty One Pilots

Second glimpse from the duo’s sophomore album, Blurryface. This track is more in the vein of Vessel, continuing the bouncy, electronic alt-pop vibes. More singing and less rapping from Josh Dunn.

“Stroke God, Millionaire” – Dance Gavin Dance

This track really showcases what guitarist Will Swan can do with his ax. Strange video, but this is a beast of a song. You’ll be air guitar-ing the whole way through.

“Playing Catch With .22” – I The Mighty

More catchy and upbeat release from I The Mighty. This line “You’re just second away from being in love or alone” will be stuck in your head all day. From their second album Connector (out June 2).
